                Code of Ethics

                The Victorian Bulldog Club encourages breeders and individual owners to undertake a
                general Code of Ethics. This is the code of Ethics as per this Club.

                1) We will properly house, feed, water and exercise all dogs under their care and
                    arrange for appropriate veterinary attention if and when required.

                2) We will not allow any of their dogs to roam at large or cause a nuisance to
                    neighbors or the general public.

                 4) We will ensure that their dogs will be kept leashed or under effective control
                    when away from home.

                 5) We will clean up after their dogs in public places or anywhere their dogs are
                    being exhibited.

                 6) We will only sell dogs where there is a reasonable expectation of a happy and
                    healthy life and will help with the re-homing of a dog if the initial circumstances change.

                 7) We will supply details of all dietary requirements and give guidance concerning
                    responsible ownership when placing dogs in a new home.

                 8) We will ensure that all relevant documents are provided to the new owner when
                    selling or transferring a dog.

                 9) We will not sell any dog to commercial dog wholesalers, retail pet dealers or
                    directly or indirectly allow dogs to be given as a prize or donation in a
                    competition of any kind.

                10)     All breedings will be aimed at the improvement of the breed.

                11)  We will not breed a dog or bitch which could be in any way be harmful to the
                    dog and to promote, advance and protect the interest of the breed, including
                    stability of temperament, quality of conformation and freedom from known
                    genetic defects and conditions

                12)  Breeders will stand behind the quality and condition of their stock and will not
                    knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed nor falsely advertise dogs
                    nor mislead any person regarding the health or quality of a dog.

                13)  Breeder shall maintain current and accurate records pertaining to their breeding
                    program, the particulars of all dog registrations and all sales transactions.

                14)  Breeders are encouraged to test for health and genetic problems. They should also
                    follow recommended protocols for the control of genetic disease.
